Language Development (i.e expressive/receptive identification of objects/actions, increasing academic use with AAC device)
Functional Life Skills (i.e. safety awareness, community skills, environment print awareness)
Tutoring Service Tiers
Tiers of services are necessary to be able to identify, recruit, and deliver high-quality services with an understanding that it is very challenging to recruit credentialed teachers alone. In order to meet the high-demand for tutoring services that fit the needs of students with special needs, these tiers allow families to still access quality services with expert supervision and training.
Level 1 -
Service is provided by a credentialed teacher, often with a Master's, in the area that most fits your child's needs
Minimal level of support/training is required for educators at this level.
Level 2 -
Service is provided by an educator who has at least a Bachelor's, but not a teaching credential. This educator has experience subbing ((as a teacher or instructional assistant) or tutoring children with diverse learning needs.
Mild-moderate level of support/training will be provided to educators at this level.
Level 3
Service is provided by an educator who is either an Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or experienced Special Education Paraprofessional
High level of ongoing support/training/supervision will be provided to Level 3 educators to ensure high-quality evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior intervention are utilized.
Please know that this level will still be more geared to support children with special needs than most general tutoring agencies who typically employ general education tutors whom lack the understanding, care, or ongoing training to be able to provide high quality instruction.
Please inquire for pricing information/ availability, as I am working to recruit qualified educators to provide services at each given tier of service. Session rate will be dependent on the tier of service and delivery of service (virtual vs. in-home).
We are happy, fortunate, and eager to work with Self-Determination Program families. I am currently vendored with Arch, ACE, FMS Pay, Accura, and Sequoia. Please contact us to connect with your FMS, if not listed.
